We recommend brewing 2 tablespoons per cup, so 16 tablespoons per 8 cups. This can be adjusted to taste, so if it is too strong use less coffee next time, too weak you can use more. We also have brew instructions printed on the side of our bags, so take a peak there for some more info.
Coffee strength is a direct correlation to the ratio of coffee and water used, not the roast. If you prefer a stronger coffee, keep the amount of water constant and increase the amount of coffee. For weaker coffees keep the amount of water constant and decrease the amount of coffee.
No, coffee should be stored in an airtight container in a cool dark place such as a cabinet. If coffee is stored in the freezer it goes through temperature changes that can result in condensation and coffee degradation. In addition, the coffee can absorb flavors and odors from the food around it.
Coffee is freshest within 2-3 weeks of roasting, so for the best flavors we recommend consuming within that timeframe. After about 2 weeks you will begin to notice a decline in the nuances and flavors as the gasses are released.
Coffee is a perishable product so we are unable to accept returns. If there is a problem with your coffee contact us within 2 days of receiving your product and we will do what we can to make it right.
